Lip Blush improves the color and enhances the natural shape of the lips. Multiple color options are available to ensure we find the perfect shade for you. However, the procedure is not recommended for everyone. To prevent any complications relating to your overall well-being, please review all the information below including the requirements, who may not be a candidate, and medications to avoid before your appointment.
Proper preparation for a permanent makeup appointment will also help you to achieve the best possible healed results, so be sure to actively prepare by perhaps putting a reminder in your phone about what you will need to abstain from.

Appointments typically last 2-2.5 hours; babies or children cannot be present during your appointment, so please make necessary arrangements in advance.

REQUIREMENTS BEFORE GETTING LIP BLUSH

If you are prone to cold sores or fever blisters, you MUST contact your physician for a prescription of an antiviral medication Valtrex, Zovirax, or another anti-viral. Start taking the medication 2 days prior and continue for 2 days post procedure.

Gently exfoliate and moisturize lips twice a day for 3 days prior to procedure. Use a wet wash cloth or make a simple scrub (combine 4tsp sugar and 3tsp coconut oil - you can even add a drop of essential oil for flavor if desired). Moisturize with your favorite lip balm afterwards.

Absolutely no alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before your appointment.

No blood thinners such as ibuprofen, aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, fish oil or other vitamins unless medically necessary 72 hours before. All of these items thin the blood and causes bleeding which pushes the pigment out of the skin and will compromise your results. Tylenol is acceptable.

Do not workout or sweat heavily the day of your procedure or for 2 weeks after - it expands the pores and increases blood flow.

Lip Fillers should be done at least 4 weeks prior or 4 weeks after procedure.

No intentional tanning 2 weeks prior. If you arrive with a sunburn, you will be asked to reschedule and forfeit your deposit. Please consider this if booking after a vacation.
IF YOU COME TO YOUR APPOINTMENT AND DID NOT FOLLOW THE PRE-PROCEDURE PREP AND ARE DENIED SERVICE BECAUSE OF IT, YOU WILL FORFEIT YOUR DEPOSIT.

Anyone with 1-2+ syringes of lip filler

Under the age of 18

Sick with cold, flu, or sinus/respiratory infection (please reschedule your appointment and stay home to recover)

Irritations on/around the lip area including: a cold sore, sunburn, rash, eczema, shingles, acne, or psoriasis

Pregnant or nursing

Used Accutane in the past year

Uncontrolled blood pressure

Diabetes
-
Epilepsy
-
Undergoing chemotherapy

Prone to keloid scarring

Pacemaker or major heart problems

Had an organ transplant

Viral infections and or diseases

Transmittable blood disease, HIV or Hepatitis

In poor general health

LIP BLUSH AFTERCARE
Lip Blush is amazing but it does require some maintenance after you leave the studio to make sure it lasts as long as possible and looks great! Follow this aftercare until you're healed - you will be healed when all flaking is gone!
-
Wash gently with mild cleanser 4-6x/day, then pat dry immediately - am, pm, and after each meal
-
Do not go swimming, do heavy sweaty exercise, or take long/steamy showers until healed
-
Do not use any lip makeup or whitening toothpaste until healed
-
Do allow flaking or scabbing to fall off on its own - pulling it off too soon could pull pigment out
-
Apply provided A&D ointment as needed

Limit direct sunlight until healed
-
Call, text or email us if you have any questions about healing

Extreme redness, swelling, pain or seepage are all signs of a reaction or possible infection. This would be extremely rare but if it occurs, call a doctor immediately!
